I don’t even know if I have the words… but I am unbelievably proud of our 8th graders. Over the past two years, I’ve watched them grow, struggle, push through, and rise—again and again. They’ve poured their hearts into learning, showed up with grit and determination, and gave every ounce of effort they had.
This year’s OSTP Writing and ELA tests? They rocked it. Truly. Not just because of the scores that will be amazing—but because of how far they’ve come. Because they believed in themselves, even when it was hard. Because they tried, they cared, and they never gave up.
They've inspired me every single day. I’m so crazy proud of them!.
This is what growth looks like-be proud of yourselves!

The Okeene School Board and administrators took a tour of the SWOSU campus in Weatherford. The tour included a deep dive into the Engineering Technology and Nursing programs. The Okeene team was able to visit with instructors and students about the partnerships with defense contractors at Tinker Air Force Base and surrounding hospitals as well as the expectations for students in the programs. After the meeting, it was clear that our STEM program is doing a great job of preparing students for these types of programs. When instructors from both programs were asked what they wished all students were more proficient at when coming into college, the answers were very consistent. The answer was, we need them to be better in mathematics.

That’s a wrap on an incredible grade school track season! These young athletes showed up with determination, learned to love the sport, pushed themselves to run faster, jump higher, and throw farther with every practice and meet. Their growth this season has been nothing short of inspiring, and we couldn’t be more proud of their hard work and heart. We can't wait to see what their futures hold — this is only the beginning!

Congratulations to Edan Chasteen and Caden Reames. These two took their solos to State contest today and received a Superior Rating I. This is the best score possible!
Both took on the initiative of preparing Professional level solos and represented relentlessness like Whippets!

Kindergarten and 1st grade released their butterflies yesterday. 🦋 They watched the cycle from caterpillars, to chrysalis, to butterflies within their classrooms and then set them out into nature.
Happy Earth Day! 🌎🌱 Our 1st graders helped clean up around the Elementary to make our campus cleaner yesterday! ♻️
Schedule change: HS Baseball District Tournament will be held Tuesday, April 22nd at Pond Creek at 4 PM and 6 PM. JH games have been cancelled.
