5th grade went to the Blaine County Wellness Day last week. They learned about gun safety, nutrition, dangers of vaping, cyber safety, played cornhole, and had a great lunch!

Week at a Glance


The baseball games on Monday, March 27th against Medford have been canceled. ⚾️


JH/HS TAG went on a field trip to iFly this week! They learned about STEM career fields, flew in the wind tunnel simulator, and learned to calculate the terminal velocity of objects.





High School Baseball Cherokee Strip Tournament


The Okeene High School Track team traveled to Fairview for their first meet of the season on Tuesday. The Whippets had a strong showing in both track and field events with eight athletes placing for medals. The team travels to Covington-Douglas tomorrow for their next meet.










March 20-25th Week at A Glance


School will resume Monday, March 20th.

The Okeene High School/Junior High band went to Alva to compete in district contest on Wednesday, March 8th. The band received an excellent rating on stage and a superior in sight reading.
Several students also prepared solos. Charlotte Monahan got a glowing review on a "comments only" solo, and Tiffany Lorenz and Layla Gross earned excellent ratings. The following students received 1's and will be taking their solos to State solo contest in Oklahoma City on April 19th:
Emma Johnson - flute
Caden Reames - flute, oboe, and clarinet
Jessica Schieber - clarinet
Sabrie Lorenz - trumpet
