Sunday Spotlight is on Caden Reames today! He made the OkMEA All-State Honor Band yesterday. That makes him the 18th best clarinet player in the whole STATE of Oklahoma. What's impressive is he had to beat out students from large 6A-3A schools because there are no others lower than that representing their schools. It made him the only kid from northwest Oklahoma's Red Carpet region to make the band. What an impressive Whippet we have in Caden! Congratulations! 🎶👏

Just a reminder, transportation in town is not required. It is provided as a courtesy. Arrangements have been made to provide in town transportation at designated areas. Our drivers have a schedule and strive to keep it. Your help is appreciated when it comes to maintaining that schedule. The lower temperatures in the morning make it uncomfortable to be outside for an extended amount of time. To prevent extended exposure and to maintain the schedule, please have your rider(s) at the designated stops prior to the pickup time.

A new federal law requires all senior students to have filled out the FAFSA to graduate. The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. All college scholarships and career techs require a student to have filled this out before being awarded any financial aid or scholarships. There is an opt out form that parents can fill out if they so choose. Okeene High School will assist senior parents in filling this out on December 16th at 6pm in the High School Library. Leetha Huddleston from the State Regents Office will be on site to assist parents as well. To fill this out, parents will need to have their student's social security number and their 2023 tax return.

STEM SPOTLIGHT 🔦 Mrs. Krause and Mrs. Unruh's 1st graders learned an about American Symbols during a history unit. After the unit, each student was able to make their favorite American landmark on a 3-D printer inside their classrooms. Students learned how to load and unload the machine, replace filament, and troubleshoot when the prints didn't go according to plan.🗽
