3rd grade Mystery Reader for this week was Jennifer Keeton. She read two Oklahoma themed books. Students spotted several of the places they had recently studied in their Oklahoma Social Studies lessons. The students enjoyed your visit, Jennifer!

ACT Deadlines are quickly approaching!⌛The National test early deadline is September 12th. You can register your student online: http://act.org. The District date here in Okeene is October 22nd. Payment is due ASAP.

Seniors need to apply by December 31st and all other 8th-11th graders are encouraged to apply by June 30, 2026. Exploring Careers in Healthcare This week, our Okeene High School seniors had the opportunity to tour Okeene Municipal Hospital & Medical Clinic. They were able to see firsthand how each department plays a vital role in caring for our community—from lab and radiology, to pharmacy, nursing, marketing, billing & coding, and beyond. We’re excited to share that students who showed interest in any of the hospital departments will now have the opportunity to take the next step through job shadowing experiences. This is a great way for students to learn more about healthcare careers, ask questions, and explore possible futures right here at home. We’re thankful for OMH’s partnership in helping shape the future of our students—and possibly, the future of healthcare in our own community! 💙👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Six grade students in Mr. Woolley's class studied Forensic Science this week with the help of Goose Willis. They had the task of figuring out if their fingerprint was classified as an arch, loop, whorl, or composite.
