6 amazing high school students gave up their highly anticipated Bedlam Saturday and traveled to OKC's Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics to take a mock ACT test and attend ACT tutoring classes. They started their long day at 6 in the morning and returned tired but knowing just that much more about the ACT! You made us proud! It was a great day to be an Okeene Whippet!!!

Bob Ford presented to the 3rd grade class, along with several high school students and guests. He spoke about his experiences during his time serving in the Vietnam War. He was also our class Mystery Reader last week!
Thank you Bob Ford, and all the other Veterans, for your service to our country!

Day number one at FFA National Convention is in the books. The day started off with a tour of Ozark fisheries where the students learned about all aspects of raising and selling gold fish and koi fish. After a short lunch break at an awesome BBQ restaurant in Martinsville, we went on our second tour at Hunters Honey Farm. Here students learned how every aspect of the honey and bee process goes, learned how beeswax candles are made, and they even got their own personal bottle of honey. Then we rounded out the tours with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a little fun. We even got to kiss the bricks. We are ready for the first day of convention tomorrow at the National FFA center.
