Okeene FCCLA took 11 members to District Conference in Cherokee. They listened to a great inspirational speaker, Kelly Barnes. The group then toured NWOSU's campus.

He will tour Europe, and perform in venues in various countries.


Our second graders have been learning about states of matter in science and reading. They’ve read books on the topic, wrote procedural texts, and even tied in a math standards - graphing and arrays! They made Coke floats for the final activity!

FFA has plenty of extra blue and gold sausage and bacon for sale. Contact Mr. Riffel to acquire the products at 580-822-1044. The sausage is $10 a roll or $200 a case (20 in a case). Bacon $20 a package or $120 a case (6 in a case).

Today the animal science class had the opportunity to picture baby pigs. They learned that it takes a lot of patience to be able to get these animals to Cooperate and not get frustrated, they figured out and learned the importance of the correct angle and views, and to make sure the lighting is adequate to hide shadows. These students had the opportunity to vaccinate and ear notch these same pigs when they were born. Attached are some of the shots they captured.
