Sixth Graders are learning about World War II in Ms Haworth's class. To have a better understanding of the struggles most families enduring during that time, they were given an activity using Food Rationing. Each "family of 4" was given 48 ration points to plan three balanced meals. The students had to work together to make their menus for those meals. It was a fun lesson to gain understanding of the struggles during war times.
Today is the LAST DAY to order your butter braids. Our Jr/Sr High needs your help to reach their goal, so order yours now! https://store.myfundraisingplace.com/402b46c1-f932-41a4-a96d-d7d8348ecf39

This week, our first grade students read Maybe Something Beautiful—a story about how art can bring color, joy, and togetherness to a community. 🌟
We are so lucky here in Okeene to be surrounded by many beautiful murals that brighten our town and tell our story. 🎨 The students enjoyed taking a walk to see some of these murals up close, learning how each one adds to the spirit of our community. To wrap up the week, they created their very own mural—adding their own splash of creativity and beauty to the world around them. 🖌️💛
What a wonderful reminder that even the smallest artists can make a big difference!
The 3rd grade Mystery Reader for this week was Hailey Wray. She read, Where the Wild Things Are. Thanks for reading to our students!
Popcorn Sales are still under way! Be sure to find an Elementary student to order from today! 🍿
Our Junior class spent the day at Oklahoma State University — and a few of our seniors who’ve already been accepted tagged along too! They toured the campus and different housing options, ate in the Student Union (fun fact: it's one of the largest student unions in the world), explored Gallagher-Iba Arena, and stood inside Boone Pickens Stadium.
The best part? Realizing that some of their teachers and staff once walked these same paths! Several of our own are proud OSU alums including: Paige Krause, Elaine, Troy and Sydney Hutchison, Mandy Hensley, Reese Brickman, Kiley Feely, Sammi Haworth, Marisa Mayfield, and David Fischer.
We are so proud of our students for exploring their future opportunities. Who knows? Some of them may be future Cowboys and Cowgirls! Go Pokes! 🖤🧡
